Good double bill or what?  Well, triple but we missed Henry Cluney, which is a bit of a shame.  Quite a strange audience, very very restrained during the Damned.  Put it this way, if I'm moving more than most people, in the place where the "mosh pit" (I'm too old for that) should be, there's something wrong.  I wasn't moving much (I never do) but nearly everyone else was just standing there clapping after each song.  It livened up during the encores but still odd.  But the Damned were excellent, I've never seen Dave Vanian so chatty and happy.  The Captain, yes, always, but they seemed to be really relaxed and having a good time.  And a nice bit with the girl in the audience who wanted "Jet boy jet girl" and a great finish with the Alarm, Henry Cluney and a T-Rex cover.  Brilliant gig.  Bigger pics here.
